Number format: this calculator uses German notation throughout — a comma is the decimal separator and a dot groups thousands. “1.234,56” means one thousand two hundred thirty-four euros and fifty-six cents. The figures come from German tax law, so they are shown the way German authorities write them.

First things first: your entries never leave this device
Every calculation on this site runs in the browser. There is no calculation server, no sign-in and no database. Your salary, your tax class, your loan — none of it is transmitted, stored or analysed. That is not a promise but a construction: the server only delivers files.
So that you can share or bookmark a result, your inputs appear in the address bar — after the hash sign (#). Browsers never send that part of an address to the server, nor pass it on to the next page; it stays on your device. The inputs are only transmitted when YOU pass the link on. Older shared links that still carry the values after a question mark are transmitted to the server once when opened and are then converted to the new form.
If you share a result link, your entries are part of that address. That is the point of the feature — bear it in mind before you pass such a link on.
What the server logs
Like every web server, this one records that a page was requested: IP address, time, the address requested, the amount of data transferred, browser and operating system identifiers and the referring page. These logs serve technical operation and the defence against attacks. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in a working and secure service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
These data are not combined with other sources; there are no user accounts they could be linked to.
No cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party requests
This site sets no cookies. It embeds no analytics tools, no map services, no social networks and no remotely loaded fonts. That is enforced not by a promise but by a strict Content Security Policy: the browser may only connect to this domain; everything else it blocks.
Exactly one item is stored locally: your choice between the light and dark appearance, in your browser's localStorage under the name “thema”. It never leaves the device and can be deleted at any time through the browser settings. No consent banner is required for it (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG): the storage serves only the presentation you asked for.
Feedback by email
The feedback form sends nothing from this site. It opens your own mail program with a prepared draft that you can read and change first. If you do write, we process your message and sender address solely in order to answer it (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and delete them once the matter is closed.
Your rights
- Access to the data held about you (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18) and portability (Art. 20).
- Objection to processing based on a legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR) — here that concerns the server logs alone.
- Complaint to a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authority is the one where you live or the one of the controller.
Advertising
No advertising is currently served on this site. Should that change, this is where the provider, the data processed and the way consent is obtained belong — advertising generally sets cookies and thereby triggers the consent requirement of § 25(1) TDDDG. As long as this paragraph stands as it is, neither applies.
